With numerous features, our most powerful 10-stage BC 6-12V / 10 A charger ensures safe and gentle charging of lead batteries with a capacity of 7 - 200 Ah. It guarantees optimal performance and long battery life. The "MODE" button can be used to select 6 intelligent charging programs or a power supply mode that can be used to operate 12V devices via the car socket provided, e.g. a cool box.
The charger is dust-tight and protected against water jets (IP65) and has the following electrical safety features: reverse polarity protection, overcharge protection, deep discharge protection and short circuit protection.
In addition, our intelligent charger is suitable for standby/parallel operation and can remain connected to the battery continuously. It will maintain its full charge, even if the battery is being charged/discharged at the same time.
Selectable charging programs:
- 6V STD or 12V STD: For lead-acid and lead-gel batteries.
- 12V AGM/C: For AGM batteries & in cold weather (-20°C - +5°C )
- 12V M: Trickle charge for winter storage of lead-acid batteries, preventing deep discharge
- 12V LFP: For lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4, LFP)
- RECOND: For deep-discharged batteries
The charging currents are automatically controlled via the selected charging mode:
- 2 A in "6V STD" mode
- 2 A in "12V M" mode
- 2.5 A in "RECOND" mode
- 10 A in "12V STD", "AGM/C", "LFP" mode
Fully automatic, intelligent 10-step charging
1. Battery check: After selecting the charging mode, the charger checks the status of the battery.
2. Desulphatisaton: Automatic detection of sulphated lead batteries. Pulsing current and voltage dissolves the sulphate from the battery's lead plates to restore maximum battery capacity.
3. Refresh: A gentle pre-charge current is used to charge older or rarely used batteries, thereby reactivating them.
4. Reactivation charge: Gentle charging of the battery with increased charging current.
5. Analysis: Switching off the charging current to check the open-circuit voltage.
6. Activation charge: Resumption of the increased charging current in preparation for the main charge.
7. Main charge: Constant-current charge with the maximum charge current.
8. Charge optimisation: The charge current is gradually reduced to reach the max. possible battery capacity.
9. Voltage check: Battery charge level check.
10. Maintenance charge: If necessary, a pulsed maintenance charge takes place, preventing the battery from discharging.
